Player Biography
Some people may consider me old, but I am young enough to learn a few tricks or two. I started to play TM after I lost my husband to the game. I couldn't figure out what was keeping his attention until 3 am every Friday and Saturday night. I finally gave it a try and now I am playing, too. Started in May 2002. Former athlete, now gone to pot. Favorite sports were swimming (how I met David), water polo, mountain biking, rock climbing, judo. My most proud accomplishment was participating in the Trans-Tahoe Relay. A race of 6 members each doing 30 minute legs across Lake Tahoe in Northern California. Once each of us swam 30 minutes, the second leg was “only 15 minutes”. The third leg was 10 minutes, but we didn't make it through the line up, though I did get my third swim. Temp of the water is around 55 degrees and you can't wear a wet suit. The water was like swimming through a star sapphire. Real beautiful. Now I am “just” a mom and a NICU nurse (swing shift). I do a bit of sewing from time to time, too. Only so many hours in the day and not enough time to do it all.
